Danniel Maio Challenges Carolyn Maloney

Taiwan-born Danniel Maio is running for United States Congress in the fourteenth district on the Republican and Just Do It lines. Danniel was one of the founding members of The TR Group.
He has been active in Republican politics for years. Previously, he has run for Manhattan Borough President, State Senate, and he has endeavored to run for other offices such as Public Advocate.
He was even a Ronald Reagan delegate to the Republican National

Convention in 1980. For over a decade, Danniel and his brother, Jackson, have run the Identity Map Company, publishers of "living maps" detailing not only the streets of Manhattan but also the buildings and businesses on those streets.
To make such detailed maps, Danniel has walked every street in Manhattan. Few people know the neighborhoods of the fourteenth congressional district as well as Danniel.
Before becoming a mapmaker, Danniel was a Real Estate Broker, and he worked for a New York City law firm. He started out working for Westinghouse Electric in Pennsylvania.
Danniel received a Master's degree from Chaminade University and Japan-American Institute of Management Sciences in 1988. He earned a Political Sciences degree in International Studies at The American University in Washington, D.C. in 1984.
Danniel promises to break from "politics-as-usual"

and to truly represent the people of his district in Congress. He cautions, "Politicians are not to be trusted. They listen when they need your votes, and they ignore you once elected."
His opponent, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, has certainly ignored the needs of American troops. After voting to send U.S. soldiers to Iraq, she has refused to fund operations there. She is perhaps best known for showing up in Congress wearing a burqa.
Unlike his opponent, Danniel Maio believes that you should not have your taxes raised and your money spent without being able to see the results. He will make certain the government does not waste the taxpayer's money.
