John Spencer Challenges Hillary Clinton for Senate

Former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer is the Republican and Conservative Party Candidate for United States Senate. His opponent is incumbent Hillary Rodham Clinton.
This is a difficult race, but John Spencer is accustomed to winning difficult races. In 1996 his election as Mayor of overwhelmingly Democrat Yonkers came as a surprise.
For the people of Yonkers that surprise was a pleasant one. Mayor Spencer stood up for conservative principles and what was right for the people he represented.
He overcame challenges others thought were

impossible. He took a stagnant city in decline and changed its image to a city of progress.
Mayor Spencer revitalized the waterfront, ignored naysayers and cut taxes, and he improved city services. In his run for the Senate, John Spencer is running on his life record and his record of pulling a city out from under a state Financial Control Board and federal oversight of its court-ordered desegregation.
At the height of the Vietnam War, when others were avoiding the draft, John Spencer chose to enlist in the United States Army to serve his country. The awesome responsibility of leading men

whose very survival depended on him as a young Infantry Lieutenant, shaped and molded him into the leader he is today.
No matter how great the opposition, John Spencer has always stood up for his conservative principles. As a United States Senator, he will be a tremendous advocate for conservative principles in Washington.
John Spencer intends to put New York ahead of Washington. He will be a Senator actively engaged in New York issues.
