Daniel James Russo is challenging Tom Duane for New York’s 29th State Senatorial Seat. Mr. Russo will bring to the State Senate his strong skills in policy analysis, financial budgeting, and legal review.
     He has over 23 years of professional experience including direct supervision of multimillion dollar operating and capital budgets. Dan Russo hopes to represent the residents and businesses of his district with integrity.
     Dan is a lifelong New Yorker who knows and understands the needs of New Yorkers. Dan Russo will fight to encourage the development of more housing in New York

to end our ongoing housing shortage and the high rents caused by the shortage.
     Dan will protect the cost of living for the elderly, hold the line on rent-stabilized leases for current lease holders, and fight for a better quality of life in New York City.
     He will work to secure New York from terrorist actions while strengthening efforts to defend individual rights to privacy. Dan Russo will introduce and enforce legislation that improves the environment by focusing on noise, air, water, and waste management pollution.
     As a State Senator, Dan will work to lower New York State’s debt levels and cut taxes. He will be a watchdog on all state spending projects.
     With a B.A. in Economics and an M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia, Dan Russo knows how to restore fiscal responsibility to Albany.
     Describing his interest in running, Dan quotes President Reagan, “Government is the people's business and every man, woman, and child becomes a shareholder with the first

penny of tax paid.” As a New York taxpayer for over 24 years, Dan intends to become a more active shareholder.
     Dan and his wife enjoy living in the district and look forward to keeping this a great place to raise a family. A member of the New York Road Runners Club, Dan Russo runs 25 miles a week.
