Josh Yablon Runs for City Council on Upper West Side

Joshua Yablon, who ran for New York City Council in 2003, is running for the same seat again this year on the Republican and Independence Party lines. During his 2003 City Council campaign, he registered many new voters and strengthened the Republican Party in Manhattan's infamously liberal Upper West Side.
"I am a lifelong New Yorker and a proud West Sider." Josh explains this race

is "about electing a new leader who can get things done for Clinton and the Upper West Side."
"I'm not satisfied with the status quo and our local government, which has made New York City the most expensive city in America. I'm running on a platform of reform that will directly lower your costs of living here."
Joshua Yablon is a Vice President at Greater Talent Network, the nation's premier celebrity speakers bureau. Josh lives at 91st Street and Riverside Drive with his wife Naomi, and their year-and-half old son, Macabee.
Josh went to high school in Manhattan and has lived on the West Side for almost ten years. He is a cum laude graduate of The State University of New York at Albany.
As an undergraduate he led a prominent student organization that made international headlines for various initiatives protesting continued Palestinian

terrorism. In addition, Josh is a part time student at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, working toward a masters degree in public administration.
Since 1999 Josh has served as an Auxiliary Police Officer in the 24th precinct. He previously worked on Governor George Pataki's re-election campaign, and continues to serve in a number of community organizations.

How You Can Help

Josh can not make progress for the Republican Party on the Upper West Side without support from donors and volunteers. He needs contributions of at least ten dollars from Upper West Side residents to qualify for the New York City Campaign Finance Board's matching funds program. Contributions from residents of other areas are also welcome.
