Dr. David Friedman is running for the State Assembly on the Upper East Side. A member of the Upper East Side community for ten years, Dr. Friedman has lived in the New York area all his life. He has seen how the progressive Republican leadership of Governor Pataki and Mayor Giuliani dramatically improved life for all New Yorkers.
     As the son of a New York City Police Officer, Dr. Friedman knew that the city went through an earlier resurgence under progressive Republican Police Commissioner Theodore Roosevelt. Seeing the positive effects of the progressive Republican agenda, Dr. Friedman became a progressive Republican himself.
     Dr. Friedman said, "I want people to be the masters of their own fate, not a fate determined by a social service

agency."
     TR Group President Bradley W. Bloch is Dr. Friedman's Campaign Manager. Previously, Bradley was the Campaign Manager for Michelle Bouchard's City Council race last year. Bradley is excited to be working with another candidate of Dr. Friedman's caliber, vision, and character.
     Dr. Friedman is running for State Assembly because he knows that the Assembly controls much of New York City's destiny. He intends to fight to keep the New York City renaissance of the last eight years going strong well into the new millennium.
     Knowing that the engine of social change is fueled by economic success, Dr. Friedman wants to keep New York a friendly place to do business. Only with plenty of jobs and a healthy economy will New Yorkers have the resources to help the less fortnunate.
     Dr. Friedman supports Mayoral control of the city's schools and elimination of the

school boards. He opposes tax increases. He wants to be certain that the Second Avenue Subway is built, and he wants to make home ownership easier for the middle-class and poor.
     As a practicing obstetrician and gynecologist, Dr. Friedman understands the need for healthcare reform, and his intimate knowledge of healthcare will be an asset to the entire Assembly.
     In the Assembly, Dr. Friedman will continue the success brought to the city by Asemblyman Ravitz and Governor Pataki.
