Dan Latner for State Assembly

TR Group Paid Member Dan Latner is running for New York's 75th State Assembly seat. This district includes much of Midtown Manhattan, the Theatre District, and Chelsea.
A lifetime New Yorker and a lifetime Republican, Dan is running as a Republican, Independent, and Conservative candidate. Currently, Dan and his wife live in Murray Hill.
Dan has the strong commitment to crime reduction and tax reduction that most Republicans share. As a general rule, he believes Republican policies make the most sense.
Dan admires Republicans for their willingness to try new ideas instead of continuing to support failed programs. A strong believer in greater personal freedoms and less government, Dan's beliefs are similar to those of The TR Group.
Dan is tired of going to the polls and only having one choice. Wanting to do

something about the lack of choice, Dan decided to become a candidate.
Dan is more in touch with New Yorkers because he is one of them, not a politician. He believes that government is best run by people who have been involved in other professions. Dan feels career politicians often make poor decisions due to their lack of real world experience.
Dan's real world experience spans the fields of art, architecture, science, and business. He is the President and Founder of DL Interactive, a software design company.
Dan is a resourceful man who will bring his common sense approach to solving problems in New York. As an Assemblyman, Dan will only pass legislation that meets four criteria:
1. Does the idea make sense?
2. Does it make New York better?
3. Is it fair to everyone?
4. Does it solve a problem without creating a new one?

Dan intends to use the internet to allow people in his district to voice their opinions on legislation before the Assembly. He would like to let the public see exactly where their money goes to keep the government accountable for its spending.
Dan already has campaigned for improvements in the Long Island Rail Road ticketing policy, proper notification by the Post Office of rate increases, and reduction of e-mail spam and junk faxes. Dan looks forward to continuing to fight for New Yorkers as a member of the State Assembly.
