Michelle Bouchard, founded the TR Group after her losing but historic 2001 run for City Council in District 3. She has lived in New York City for 24 years, moving here in 1984 after finishing a BA in political science from Wellesley College in Massachusetts.
She grew up in Texas and Virgina and has always had a love for politics. The summer prior to entering college, Michelle was a page for future President Bush, Sr. at the 1980 Virginia Republican State Convention. While at Wellesley, she was influenced by two freethinkers for whom she did independent studies: George Stambolian and M.I.T. professor Edwin Diamond.
Michelle pursued a career in the theater and technology prior to entering politics. She served as campaign manager for Andrew S. Eristoff's 2002 bid for the New York State Senate on the Upper East Side. She is the divorced mother of two children. She stepped back from politics to become the Vice-President of Finance for Governor's Island. Currently, she is Executive Director of HealhCorps, a non-profit educating teens about health and nutrition. |
